Wow! I can't believe a new year has started. Where did last year go? I was a terrible blogger last year. I hope to do better this year though. I am posting pictures from the first few days of school. The first pictures are from meet and greet.

We read Alexander and Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day! Each child made an Alexander. We talked about how his attitude and choices made his day terrible. We learned that if we choose to have a good day and be happy then our day will be better.
We always start our school year with Brown Bear. Our first real painting activity is a Brown Bear mural. Each child paints a section of the mural. We do this in the order of the colors in the story. We use this mural to sort items the kids bring from home. This is also our introduction to sorting and color families.
Yellow Day: we had banana popsicles and lemons. I LOVE the lemon pictures! :)
